Home Telecom Security offers two basic types of security systems, wireless and wired. A wireless system is ideal for an existing home, and a wired system is ideal for new construction. Optional add-ons are also
available to help you customize the system you choose for your specific needs.

Wired AttackPack for new construction

*Plus monthly fee for 24-hour monitoring service. Purchase of an AttackPack requires a 3-year monitoring contract. Monitoring of an existing security system requires a 1-year contract. A $250 fee will be applied if contract is terminated early. Any additional equipment purchased after the initial installation may be billed to your account – along with the standard labor rate of $75 per hour.
Security Equipment Maintenance
Home Telecom offers a Security Equipment Maintenance Program. The Security Equipment Maintenance Program guarantees the security system is in good working order and provides the required protection at all times. This added level of control over the equipment will prevent problems from going undetected.
For a monthly fee of $4.99*, the following items are provided by the plan:
- Technicians will perform a 10-Point check during any visit to your location involving Home Telecom Security services.
- All equipment/battery issues that are covered by the agreement will be repaired at no additional cost.**
*Installed security equipment has a 12 month warranty included. Customers not opting for the plan, but still under the 12 month manufacturer warranty, will be charged $75/hr for repair of equipment under warranty, but no equipment charges. All customers opting for the Equipment Maintenance Plan will incur a monthly fee beginning the 13th month of their contract.
**When a low battery signal is transmitted to Home Telecom's monitoring center, Home Telecom will dispatch a technician to replace the battery and perform the 10-point check. After the initial warranty period, a customer opting out of the plan will pay regular parts and labor fees.
10-Point Check
- Check installation, location and check of all equipment and devices against specification.
- Check operation of all detection devices.
- Inspect all flexible connections.
- Check main and stand-by battery power supplies, including charging rates.
- Check control unit for correct operation.
- Check remote signaling equipment physical connections.
- Test remote signaling equipment communications to the Alarm Receiving Center.
- Check all audible warning and alarm devices.
- Check to be sure system is fully operational.
- Provide a signed report.
