  • *All Home Telecom Security offerings require a 3 year monitoring agreement. Purchase of additional equipment may be necessary. HomeSmart Control requires an internet connection for monitoring. Additional fees may apply. Early termination fee of $250 applies. Some Home Telecom offerings not compatible with all security systems. Additional restrictions may apply.

  • *Installed Security equipment has a 12-month warranty included with our BASE plan. Customers not opting for the plan, but still under the 12-month manufacturer warranty, will be charged $75 / hr for repair of equipment under warranty, but no equipment charges. All BASE customers opting for the Equipment Maintenance Plan will incur a monthly fee beginning with the 13th month of their contract. All of the above is included with our FLEX and SELECT plans for 36-months.

  • **When a low battery signal is transmitted to Home Telecom’s monitoring center, Home Telecom will dispatch a technician to replace the battery and perform the 10-point check. After the initial warranty period, a customer opting out of the plan will pay regular parts and labor fees.

Equipment Maintenance

For a monthly fee of $4.99*, the following items are provided by the plan:

  • Technicians will perform a 10-Point check during any visit to your location involving Home Telecom Security services.
  • All equipment/battery issues that are covered by the agreement will be repaired at no additional cost.**

10-Point Check List

  1. Check installation, location, all equipment and devices against specification.
  2. Check operation of all detection devices.
  3. Inspect all flexible connections.
  4. Check main and stand-by battery power supplies, including charging rates.
  5. Check control unit for correct operation.
  6. Check remote signaling equipment physical connections.
  7. Test remote signaling equipment communications to the Alarm Receiving Center.
  8. Check all audible warning and alarm devices.
  9. Check to ensure system is fully operational.
  10. Provide a signed report.
