Home Telecom Miracle League Field: Helping Those With Disabilities
In Berkeley County alone, there more than 30,000 people with disabilities, including over 4,000 children. Miracle League’s mission is to help provide opportunities for children with disabilities to play baseball, regardless of their skill level or abilities. The Home Telecom Miracle League Field will help promote community support while sponsoring the Miracle League’s mission. The construction of this remarkable facility will also meet the unique needs and challenges of both Miracle League players and their families. The goal of the field is to give all family members the ability to watch their loved ones play and enjoy baseball while learning teamwork and life skills.
Moncks Corner Athletic Field Donations
Moncks Corner has been blessed by grants and donations from many groups and individuals, including, but not limited to Home Telecom, Berkeley County Community Development Block Grant Program, Berkeley County School District, Freedom Church, Berkeley Electric Co-Op, Rotary, Lions and Kiwanis.
Home Telecom has donated $250,000 to the field, becoming the official field naming sponsor. President of Home Telecom, William Helmly, said that Moncks Corner is vital to the local community. This opportunity can positively impact the health and well-being of children and adults alike. Helmly said, “Home Telecom is honored to have the opportunity to give back to the community that supports us.”
