Home Telecom Events in April 2024
Flowertown
Visit Home Telecom in downtown Summerville on April 5, 6 and 7 for the annual Flowertown! This yearly festival attracts locals looking to gaze at the hot pink azaleas, white dogwoods, and purple wisteria in full bloom. This three-day weekend is also one of the area’s largest arts and crafts festivals in the southeast region.
St. Stephen Catfish Festival
Join Home Telecom at the Catfish Festival in St. Stephen on April 5 and 6 for crafts, rides, music and vendors, but most importantly for the main attraction, the annual catfish cook off.
Relay for Life
Relay for Life of Moncks Corner is an important annual fundraiser that helps benefit the American Cancer Society. Join Home Telecom on April 19 to celebrate local cancer survivors and help cheer on those participating in this walking fundraising event.

Berkley Electric Bright Ideas Race
Home Telecom is proud to help sponsor the Berkeley Electric Cooperative Bright Ideas Race. The race venue will be at Cypress Gardens, a spectacular blackwater swamp in Berkeley County and featured in both “The Notebook” and “The Patriot.” This year’s race will be held on May 4, and even though participants had to sign up by March 4, swing by to cheer on this year’s participants!
Hell Hole Swamp Festival
The annual Hell Hole Swamp Festival in Jamestown, South Carolina, is on May 3 and 4, an event you won’t want to miss! Complete with a spitting contest, beauty contest, arm wrestling and a Hell Hole Gator Trot 10K, this community-building event is always memorable and fun. The two-day festival includes antique and classic car shows, arts and crafts, music, amusement rides and a parade.
Lowcountry Shrimp Festival
The annual Lowcountry Shrimp Festival is back after a two-year hiatus, and Home Telecom is proud to be a sponsor of this much-beloved community event. You won’t want to miss this McClellanville event on May 4 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
CYDC Color Run
Join Home Telecom in celebrating the Carolina Youth Development Center’s (CYDC) annual Give Me Shelter Color 5K, presented by Home Telecom, on May 18. The race is at Moncks Corner Recreation Complex and is three miles long. The proceeds of this event will benefit the families and youth that the CYDC serves in Berkeley County and the Callen-Lacey Center for Children.
