Home Telecom is excited about all the accomplishments we have made in 2025. What really excites us is that 2026 will be an even bigger year – more upgrades, smarter features and even faster speeds. But first, we want to recap our amazing 2025 year and highlight some of our achievements.
50,000 Customer Milestone
We want to thank our Home Telecom customers, because without all of you, we wouldn’t be enjoying more than 121 years in business. We have recently reached a new milestone: 50,000 customers throughout South Carolina’s Lowcountry. This impressive number reflects our rapid growth, as we have doubled our customer base over the last seven years alone!
SmartTown Community Wi-Fi Expansion
Home Telecom has continued to expand its SmartTown community Wi-Fi. Ushering in a new era of Wi-Fi, our SmartTown communities offer on-the-go Wi-Fi to the following neighborhoods:

This year, Home Telecom is also proud to say we helped bring SmartTown Community Wi-Fi to the Berkeley High School Athletic Fields. This partnership with the Berkeley County School District makes it easy for people to stay connected, stream the game and even check the score while enjoying Home Telecom’s fast, secure Wi-Fi at Moody Field and its surrounding areas.
Ultra-Fast 5 Gigabit Internet Service Launch
Home Telecom launched our lightning-fast 5 Gigabit internet service for residential customers in the Nexton community in Summerville, South Carolina. This significant milestone for Home Telecom highlights our commitment to providing future-ready digital infrastructure. As the demand for high-speed internet continues to grow – into 2026 and beyond – 5 Gigabit internet will help meet the ever-evolving needs of today’s modern connected households.
We are also proud to share that last month, Home Telecom expanded our super-fast 5 Gigabit internet service on Daniel Island. The area’s booming real estate market makes fast internet service an ideal addition to this master-planned community.
