MyWiFi Xtreme is still in a testing stage and is only offered to certain neighborhoods currently. We will be releasing MyWiFi Xtreme to all Residential customers with Home Telecom Internet Service in Fiber and Cable Modem areas when testing has completed.

How do I sign up for MyWiFi Xtreme?

Please contact us during normal business hours at 888-746-4482 and choose option 2 to make changes to your service. Then select, option 1 if you are calling to make changes for Residential services.One of our friendly Representatives will help you complete your request.

What are the requirements to access MyWiFi Xtreme?

You MUST live in our testing communities and have Home Telecom Fiber or Cable Modem internet service to get MyWiFi Xtreme.

Where is the best place to put the MyWiFi Xtreme?

To get the best experience possible, you’ll need to place your device in a central location, in the up-right position with good “line of sight” visibility to the main areas of your home.

My wireless device says it cannot support a 5 GHz radio. What do I need to do?

Your device will still be supported on the 2.4 GHz radios. This would be due to your device’s limitation and unrelated to Home Telecom.

There are four ethernet plug ports on the back of the MyWiFi Xtreme. What should I do if I have more than four wired devices that I need to plug in?

You can purchase a gigabit switch and plug that into the MyWiFi Xtreme LAN port to give you the ability to plug in multiple devices.

How do I reboot MyWiFi Xtreme router and keep my settings?

Unplug the power cord from the MyWiFi Xtreme for 30 seconds, then reapply power. Your settings will not be erased.

How do I pair devices, like my printer?

If your device supports WPS, simply follow the instructions included with your device’s installation manual. Press the WPS button for less than 3 seconds on the back of the MyWiFi Xtreme when instructed.

How do I know my device has completed boot-up?

When the LED is solid blue, which indicates an active Internet connection, or is blinking red, which means there is no service or Internet connection detected.

Do I need to change out my equipment?

Yes, Home Telecom will need to change out your equipment in order to get the full benefits of MyWiFi Xtreme. You will be given more information about this when you sign up for the service.
